In the music widget(if it’s actually there) there’s a song called Dream About A Lover(I don’t even think that actually is the name) by a band I recorded the other week called The Bitten. Sort of a garage rock/Stooges thing going on there; quite demented, but in a good way.
Spent a couple of hours on Friday putting the mics up, setting up amps and getting general tones, then came back the next day and bashed out 6 songs in 4 hours.
For the mic setup initially I wanted to go K, OH, EGT1, EGT2 and a Vox mic that Reggie sang into and was the room mic for everybody else, but I had to mic the snare because the OH was grabbing too much of the cymbals.
The bass went direct into a tube pre and then got compressed, while the guitars went through low watt amps(Fender Vibro & Super Champs) and close mic’d with Sennheiser 609s. I went with low wattage amps so they could distort at a lower volume and to minimize bleed.
Added: the proper name of the song is No Belief.
